The dark window: what runs and what does not
The Malpensa Express covers the day superbly (a train roughly every 15 minutes), but night is a different planet.
The last ordinary runs to Milan leave shortly after 11 pm; on weekends Trenord adds extra runs from Malpensa until about 1:50 am, and a night road connection leaves around 1:30 am. Then darkness: between roughly 2:00 and 4:30 am there is no rail in either direction.
The detail that catches people landing at 22:45: taxiing, passport control and baggage reclaim often eat 30-45 minutes. The last train that looks catchable on paper very often is not.

Prices are not the problem. Availability is.

How a pre-booked night transfer actually works
What makes the pre-booked transfer the robust option for night arrivals is not comfort: it is flight monitoring.
- ✈️ Monitored flight: give us the flight number and the pickup adjusts to the real landing time - flight delays never count against you, at no extra cost.
- ⏱️ First hour included: from the actual landing, the first hour of waiting is included in the price - slow passport queues and late bags do not become an extra.
- 💶 Same price at any hour: the quote agreed in advance does not change whether you land at 3 pm or 3 am.

The 3 night-arrival mistakes
The ones that turn a 2 am landing into a long night.
- 🚆 Betting on the "last train" with no margin. Disembarking, passport control and bags eat 30-45 minutes: land after 22:30 and the last Express is a gamble, not a plan.
- 📱 Deciding after you land. At 3 am supply is at its minimum on every channel: few taxis at the rank, few drivers on the apps. It is the worst possible moment to improvise.
- 🗓️ Not sharing your flight number. Without monitoring, a one-hour delay can turn into a missed pickup. With the flight monitored, the car adjusts on its own.
