Orio al Serio is Lake Garda's natural airport — less than half the distance of Malpensa. Gardaland with kids: door to door, no changes
Gardaland, at Castelnuovo del Garda on the Veneto shore, is Italy's most visited theme park — around 3 million visitors a year. The 2026 season runs from 28 March to 1 November, plus Halloween weekends and Magic Winter dates. From Milan it's about 138–145 km, roughly 1h30 by car (longer on summer weekends); the A4 exit is Peschiera del Garda and the park sits just a few kilometres from the motorway.
By train you reach Peschiera del Garda station, about 2 km from the park, then take Gardaland's free shuttle, every 30 minutes on park opening days. It works — it just isn't door-to-door.
